About Us
St. James Village is owned and operated by the Anglican Church in North Queensland. The village was opened in 1985 and currently consists of 133 one, two and three bedroom residences. The final stage of development has been completed. There are a total of 12 different types of designs in the village including serviced apartments. Our experience in owning and operating this retirement village has shown that many people in later life want a choice of lifestyle options that provides the freedom to pursue the things that interest them, and stop doing those things which are burdensome. At St. James Village we tailor our services to meet the needs of our residents and provide facilities which enable people who live here to enjoy a full an active social life, or to enjoy ‘the quiet life’ if that is how you prefer to live. You don’t have to be retired, “just tired” of the drudgery of home and garden maintenance to live in our excellent, caring community.
